- If you enter an invalid character, the OK button is disabled and remains disabled till the invalid character is deleted from the Name field.
- If you change the signature type while there are invalid characters in the Name field, a yellow triangle is displayed next to the name; hover your cursor over the triangle to view a message that indicates the invalid characters.
- the Type of the signature – select from the following types:
- AssureSign Signature Block
- DocuSign Signature Block
- PDF Placeholder
- OneSpan Sign Signature Block
- the Additional Attributes of the signature – will change according to the type of signature selected. The list of attributes for various signature types is as follows:
- AssureSign Signature Block:
- Signatory - Freeform text. The signature's alternate text is populated with a combination of the signature type and the signatory text when Documaker document is converted. For example, if the signature type is AssureSign and the signatory text is “AssureSign signature in the Loan Application form”, the Alternate Text of the signature object in the section created by converting the Documaker document in Documaker Studio will show "AssureSign Signature Block, AssureSign signature in the Loan Application form"
- Input Method - The document offers a place to 'sign' the document with signatures or initials. Signature properties are shown based on the selected Input Method. The Written Input Method creates a signature JotBlock which asks the signer to use their mouse, finger or stylus sign. The Typed Input Method creates a signature JotBlock that allows the signers to type their input using a keyboard.
- Input Type - The Input Type for the selected Input Method. For Input Method of Written, the Input Type is Signatory; the signature JotBlock is filled by the signatory. For Input Method of Typed, selections include Fixed, Parameter or Signatory.
- Signing Order - The signing order defines the signing sequence when there are multiple signatures. This may be important if numerous signature blocks will not be signed in the top-down/left-right order.
- Signing Step - The signing step defines the number of steps. Generally, if only one signature will be signing, signing occurs in a single step. If there are multiple signatories, JotBlocks may be signed in a single step or in multiple (sequential) steps.
- Required - The Required flag indicates whether the signatory’s signature is required.
- DocuSign Signature Block:
- Signatory - Freeform text. The signature's alternate text is populated with a combination of the signature type and the signatory text when the Documaker document is converted. For example, if the signature type is DocuSign and the signatory text is “DocuSign signature in the Loan Application form”, the Alternate Text of the signature object in the section created by converting the Documaker document in Documaker Studio will show "DocuSign Signature Block, DocuSign signature in the Loan Application form"
- Signer Type - Indicates the signing role. The role is attached to a user which in turn links an approval block to a user. A user assigned to this role can sign this block. The various roles include Agent, Carbon Copy, Certified Delivery, Editor, In Person Signer, Intermediary, and Signer (default).
